The Secret Ingredient to Improving Your Dutch Conversation Skills

It’s pretty obvious that improving your conversation skills in Dutch, or any new language, requires practice and patience. But I believe that the secret ingredient that makes it all come together is actually confidence. Building up your tolerance for making mistakes, mispronouncing words or fumbling for a phrase, is key if you are to progress in initiating and following conversations in Dutch.

That’s where I come in as a private tutor. On average about 1/4 to 1/3 of each lesson will be dedicated to conversation. During this portion of the lesson I will encourage you talk about anything that is interesting or relevant to you, supplying you with words to express yourself, while explaining rules of Dutch grammar along the way, and correcting only the pronunciation mistakes that might cause confusion in your conversations with native speakers.
